Tiny Pines Forest School offers nature-based enrichment classes for young children in Essex County, NJ.
We provide children with the opportunity to engage in play-based exploration in the woods,
where children make social connections and develop a deep appreciation for nature.
Our programs support children's emerging problem-solving, communication skills, social-emotional development, and plant the seed for their lifelong stewardship of the natural world.

Our classes are rooted in the Reggio Emilia approach to teaching and learning. Children are encouraged to follow their inherent curiosity and creativity to construct their own learning. Through nature-based play and exploration children form relational bonds with each other and the natural world.
Join us during any season for our year-round programming! We run classes during the fall, winter, spring, and summer for preschool aged children and their caregivers. Over the course of a semester, classes include a range of art and music based activities, as well as co-operative games, hiking and free play.
